Creating Moshfit: Redefining fitness with a responsive web app.
This is how I did it.
Mosh Fit is a fitness app that prioritizes AFAB and non-binary individuals seeking to build muscle and confidence in a traditionally male-centric fitness environment.
CONTEXT
MoshFit is a fitness app for AFAB and non-binary individuals. It offers tailored routines and video demos for different fitness levels and preferences in a welcoming environment. The app tackles challenges faced in typical gyms, focusing on inclusivity and empowerment for personal fitness goals.
//PROBLEM
Many AFAB and non-binary individuals face challenges in navigating and feeling comfortable in male-centric gym environments designed primarily for cisgender males, which can hinder their fitness journey and confidence.
//SOLUTION
Create a user-friendly fitness app like MoshFit that caters specifically to AFAB and non-binary individuals, offering tailored exercise plans, routines, and supportive features that empower them to achieve their fitness goals in a welcoming and inclusive virtual environment.
//QUESTION
How can we design intuitive navigation and a visually appealing interface in MoshFit to ensure AFAB and non-binary users feel supported and motivated throughout their fitness journey?
EARLY STAGES
MoshFit, formerally Gym Mouse, had a name change after user research. Our findings showed that many users were only timid in the male-centric gym environment, rather than just as a personality trait. We found that would connect more with our target audience if we took a bolder approach.
